A KUSAMA INSPIRED PIECE !
Tiara & Rings

Here is the outcomes from a 'Jewelry Making' project. I wasn't too sure how to go about it since it was my first time ever dealing with materials on a smaller scale as well as on a body. Overall, the project was a fun experience and it really did make me think outside the box with how the pieces were going to be presented on a model.

Yayoi Kusama has always been an artist that I found peculiar yet fascinating. Her work not only portrays a mere pattern but a new open perspective to our world; only seeing things in dots provides an atom effect to her work and here I have used her idea of perspective and translated it into my own design with jewelry. Initially, this jewelry piece was meant to be a necklace, however, half-way through I realised that it was always meant to be a piece for the head.

Coming on to the rings we have at the bottom, on the left, we have a copper ring that I made in only five minutes! I would say it was more of an experimental piece whereas the ring on the right was more planned out; really thinking about the material and how I wanted it to look on a finger; also matching up with the head piece at the end.
